Winterfest 2026 kicked off at Blackwater Estate with a cart race through the new Canyons of Hoth race course. The icy turns and cliff walls made for great racing for those ponies brave enough to tackle it.
“Yay! Cart racing is so fun!” said one pony racer, while others were not so pleased with the results. “No ponies were injured in today’s race, which is both disappointing and very troubling,” said Miss Alli, the race host.
The new course was designed by Stephpony. It is her first course design.
