“Super Mario”
24-Hour Steeple Race
Start: Tuesday, April 16 at 8pm SLT
End: Wednesday, April 17 at 8pm SLT
SpringFest kicks off with a 24-hour steeple race on the brand new “Super Mario” course! Runs are limited to 30. The race starts on Tuesday, April 16 at 8pm and ends on Wednesday at 8pm. This is a lengthy steeple course that requires a bit of practice! The race will be held in the Blackwater Competition Stadium and the course will be open for practice commencing April 6. Ribbons will be given to all ponies, with special ribbons for the top ten.

Live Barrels Race
Heat 1: Friday, April 19 at 11am-1pm
Heat 2: Friday, April 19 at 5pm-7pm
Spring has sprung! The brand new “Duck Duck Barrels” course winds though a spring meadow of crocuses and budding maple trees. This is a live race in two heats. The morning heat commences on Friday, April 19 at 11am. The evening heat commences the same day, Friday, at 5pm. The race will be held in the Blackwater Competition Stadium. Each heat lasts for two hours. Ponies may participate in either of the two heats, but may not compete in both heats. Ribbons will be given to all ponies, with special ribbons for the top ten. The course will be open for practice commencing April 6.

The silent dressage competition will be hosted in the Old Blackwater Stadium on Saturday, April 20 at 10am. The event is expected to run roughly 1 hour. This is a judged event. The competition will be in the traverse style.
The rules for silent dressage in the traverse style, as they are used at Blackwater Farm, are located here. Please be familiar with those rules. We understand that the rules may be different at other farms. The competition will be judged according to the Blackwater Farm rules.

The pre-registration form can be found here and can also be filled out below:
Pre-registration is not required; ponies who simply “show up” at the competition are welcome to participate. However, pre-registration is encouraged to help make the event run as smoothly as possible.
Ponies without trainers are welcome to compete. If you do not have a trainer, but wish to compete as a pony, Blackwater Farm will supply a trainer for you who is familiar with the traverse style of dressage and the competition rules.
If you wish to learn silent dressage (or brush up on your skills), you can find a helpful guide here.
If you need a place to practice silent dressage, you can practice at the Blackwater Dressage Fields. The field used for silent dressage at that location is the same field that will be used in the competition.
Ribbons will be awarded to all participants, with special place ribbons awarded to the top ten finishers. Additional ribbons will be awarded to the best in show and other categories.
Flower Dressage Competition

The flower dressage competition will be hosted in the Old Blackwater Stadium on Saturday, April 20. The competition will begin at the conclusion of the silent dressage competition, which will be approximately 11am but may be a bit later. The competition will not begin any earlier than 11am.
This is a competition in the traditional flower style.

The competition will use the scripted Flower Dressage Training Field sold by Aida Beorn.
You are welcome to train for flower dressage, using the exact field that will be used in the competition, at the Blackwater Dressage Fields.

Blackwater SpringFest Party
Saturday, April 20 at 12pm
DJ Winnie will be streaming tunes at the Blackwater SpringFest Party on Saturday, January 20. The party starts immediately after the flower dressage competition, which will be at approximately 12pm. Everyone is invited to this come-as-you-are party in celebration of Spring. The party will be located at the Blackwater Event Pavilion.

The SpringFest Polo Tournament starts at 11am on Sunday, April 21 in the Blackwater Competition Stadium.
